FoodGuardian App – Smart Food Management & Waste Reduction

FoodGuardian is a mobile application built using Flutter and Firebase, designed to help users efficiently manage their food inventory, reduce waste, and save money. The app allows users to categorize their food items by storage location (Fridge, Freezer, or Pantry), track expiration dates, and receive smart notifications before items go bad.

Key Features:

Inventory Tracking – Add, update, and remove items with categories and expiration dates.

⏰ Smart Notifications – Get alerts before items expire, with recipe suggestions based on soon-to-expire ingredients.

? Storage Categories – Organize food by location: fridge, freezer, or outside.

Barcode Scanning – Quickly add items using barcode recognition (via mobile scanner).

? AI-based Suggestions – (Optional) Get recipe ideas based on available ingredients using Spoonacular API.

Dashboard Insights – Visualize food usage, waste stats, and spending patterns.

Sharing Feature – (Planned) Connect with nearby users to share surplus food.

Cloud Sync – All data stored securely using Firebase Firestore.

The app is designed with a clean, user-friendly interface and supports both English and Arabic (including RTL layout). It follows the MVVM architecture and uses Hive for local notifications and offline data handling
