This project was an incredible journey that enhanced our technical skills in hashtag#System_Administration ,
hashtag#Network_Management , and hashtag#Windows_Server_technologies.
Key Highlights:
Active Directory Design:
Configured a Primary Domain Controller (PDC) at the main branch.
Set up a Child Domain Controller (Alexandria Branch) for regional user management.
Deployed a Read-Only Domain Controller (RODC) in a remote branch for secure replication.
Network Services Configuration:
Implemented DNS for #web1.com and #web2.com.
Configured DHCP, WSUS, WDS, and FTP services to optimize network operations.
Group Policies:
Enforced user access restrictions, customized desktop environments, and managed security policies effectively.
Web and FTP Servers:
Hosted websites and set up FTP services to facilitate secure content access and file sharing.
Simulated Topology:
Built and validated the entire network using GNS3 for real-world testing and troubleshooting.
Network Overview:
Our network was designed to simulate a corporate IT environment, consisting of:
Main Branch (Smart Village): Managed core services like PDC, DNS, and DHCP.
Alex Branch: A Child Domain Controller for local resources and users.
RODC: Provided secure replication and optimized performance.
Web/FTP Server: Hosted internal websites and enabled secure file transfers.
DNS: for #web1.com and #web2.com.
Achievements:
Enhanced Security: Enforced strict policies to protect resources and users.
Optimized Performance: Streamlined operations across branches, reducing access times.
Simplified Management: Centralized control through Active Directory and Group Policies.
