Skillsy is a community-driven skill trading app designed to empower individuals to exchange their talents without monetary transactions. I was responsible for the complete UI/UX design of the app, from concept to interactive prototype.
The goal was to create an intuitive, welcoming interface that encourages users to both offer and request skills in areas like tutoring, design, music, tech support, and more. My design approach focused on community trust, ease of navigation, and seamless matching between users.
Key Contributions:
Conducted user research and created personas to understand the needs of both skill providers and seekers
Designed user flows that made it easy to post and respond to skill exchange listings
Created a clean, modern UI with a warm color palette to reflect the friendly, community-based nature of the platform
Integrated features like in-app messaging, profile verification, and a review system to foster trust
Developed high-fidelity wireframes and an interactive prototype using [Figma / Adobe XD / Sketch – choose your tool]
Collaborated with developers to ensure design consistency through handoff assets and design specs
Skillsy was created with the belief that everyone has something to offer. My design work aimed to make skill-sharing feel natural, rewarding, and accessible for all users.
