Network Topology Design
Routers: Four routers are strategically placed, each one assigned to a specific building:
Administration Building
Faculty of Engineering
Faculty of Computer Science
Faculty of Medicine
Switches: Four switches are used, with one dedicated to each building to manage the local area network (LAN) within that building.
PCs: A total of 32 PCs are distributed as follows:
8 PCs in the Faculty of Engineering
8 PCs in the Faculty of Computer Science
8 PCs in the Faculty of Medicine
8 PCs in the Administration Building
Cabling:
Copper Straight-Through Cables: Used to connect the PCs to their respective switches, ensuring proper data transmission.
Copper Cross-Over Cables: Used to connect the routers to each other, enabling seamless communication between buildings.
This topology ensures efficient data flow, optimal resource distribution, and easy management of the network across the university's different faculties and administrative units.
