Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Implementation – Cloud & On-Prem

Designed and deployed a hybrid Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution that combined on-premise resources with cloud-based services using VMware Horizon and Microsoft Azure.

The goal was to improve remote access capabilities, enhance endpoint security, and centralize desktop management for end users.

My responsibilities included:

Designing the VDI architecture for both local and remote users

Provisioning virtual machines, configuring access policies, and enabling multi-factor authentication

Implementing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and user profiles for consistent experience

Testing system performance and optimizing resource allocation for scalability and cost-efficiency

The solution delivered a secure, flexible desktop experience for employees working from various locations while reducing IT overhead and support complexity.
