Designing Network Using Cisco Packet Tracer | VLANs, Routing, ACLs, DHCP

تفاصيل العمل

Project Description:

This project represents a network design using Cisco Packet Tracer, incorporating advanced networking concepts such as VLANs, subnetting (VLSM), routing protocols, DHCP, ACLs, and NAT. The network consists of multiple routers, switches, servers, and end-user devices (PCs).

Key Features & Technologies:

1. Subnetting (VLSM) – Efficient IP address allocation using variable-length subnet masks.

2. VTP (VLAN Trunking Protocol) – Managing VLAN configurations across multiple switches.

3. VLANs – Network segmentation into different groups:

VLAN 10 (Sales) – Contains 200 hosts.

VLAN 20 – Contains 50 hosts.

VLAN 40 – Contains 40 hosts.

4. EtherChannel – Aggregating multiple switch links for increased bandwidth and redundancy.

5. DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) – Assigning IP addresses dynamically to network devices.

6. Routing (OSPF & NAT):

OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) – Used for dynamic routing.

NAT (Network Address Translation) – Enabling private networks to access the internet.

7. Access Control Lists (ACLs):

Configured to allow DNS & HTTP traffic while blocking ICMP requests for security.

This setup simulates a real-world enterprise network with secure access control, efficient IP management, and proper segmentation for scalability and security.
