Library Management System: Comprehensive Database for Book Loans and Member Tracking

This project involves the development of a robust Library Management System (LMS) database schema designed to efficiently manage books, members, and loan transactions. The database consists of three main tables: Books, Members, and Loans.

Books Table: Stores information about each book, including its ID, title, author, publication year, and genre.

Members Table: Contains details about library members, such as their ID, name, and join date.

Loans Table: Tracks the borrowing activity, linking books to members with details on loan and return dates.

The system supports a variety of queries to facilitate library operations, including retrieving all books, finding books by specific authors, counting books by genre, and identifying members based on their join dates. Additional functionalities include tracking overdue loans, analyzing borrowing patterns, and generating reports on book popularity and member engagement.

This LMS aims to streamline library management, enhance user experience, and provide valuable insights into book lending trends.
