Power BI Migration and Data Warehouse Project - Ministry of Commerce

As part of a strategic initiative at the Ministry of Commerce, I successfully led the migration from Qlik Sense to Power BI, ensuring a seamless transition while enhancing the organization’s business intelligence capabilities.

Key Contributions:

Data Warehouse Design:

Collaborated with cross-functional teams to design and implement a robust Data Warehouse (DWH) architecture.

Developed a star schema to optimize data storage and retrieval for reporting and analysis.

ETL Development:

Built and optimized ETL pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.

Ensured data quality and accuracy through validation and transformation processes.

SSAS Model Creation:

Designed and deployed an SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) model to enable multidimensional analysis.

Created cubes and calculated measures to support dynamic reporting and decision-making.

Power BI Dashboard Development:

Designed interactive Power BI dashboards tailored to the Ministry's needs, providing actionable insights into key metrics like operational performance and regulatory compliance.

Implemented advanced DAX calculations and visualizations to enhance data analysis capabilities.

Qlik Sense to Power BI Migration:

Led the migration process, ensuring data consistency and maintaining the integrity of existing reports.

Trained team members and end-users on Power BI to facilitate a smooth adoption of the new platform.

Outcome:
