It focused on three main topics which are:

-Classic Control.

-PLC Programming.

-Electric Motor & Drive Programming.

•In the "Classic Control" part I learnt how to design and implement simple and comlicated ciruits to control variuos systems efficiently. I also learnt to simulate these circuits using softwares like CADe and EKTS.

In the design phase we learnt how to select the components and size the cables depending on the application. Also learnt about A.T.S, starting methods of 3-phase induction motors, and P.F correction.

Certain applications are too complex to handle, and maintaining them would be difficult. As a result, we turn to PLCs to streamline the system control procedure.

•For the "PLC Programming" part, we learned how to use Ladder diagram language in programming complex systems that needs accurate control.

Mainly, we used Siemens S7-1200 PLC in controlling variuos system and simulating them on Factory I/O, -writing the ladder program using TIA Portal software-. Other brands of PLCs were used like Schneider and Wecon with different softwares to broaden the programming experience and dealing with any PLC brand.

We learnt about different types of sensors used in industry, how to implement it and how to control the system using them.

•In the section on Electric Motor and Drive Programming, we studied the features and methods of starting three-phase induction motors, such as variable frequency drives (VFDs), and how to modify their settings to accommodate varying speeds and functions using different types of VFDs like Yaskawa J1000 and INVT Goodrive200A series
