تفاصيل العمل

Thomas Wyatt (1503–1542), known as the "Father of the English Sonnet," was an English poet and diplomat born at Allington Castle. Educated at Cambridge, he served in the court of King Henry VIII and undertook diplomatic missions abroad. Wyatt is credited with introducing the Italian sonnet form to English literature, including adaptations of Petrarch's works such as "Whoso List to Hunt." His poetry was not published during his lifetime, but posthumously appeared in Tottel’s Miscellany (1557). Wyatt’s contributions helped shape the future of English lyrical poetry.
