الأصل في الأخلاق أن تكون أخلاقًا فاضلة سائدة في المجتمع ويتعلمها الجميع من بعضهم بعضًا كسنة حسنة، فالمجتمع الذي يكثر فيه الأشخاص أصحاب الأخلاق الفاضلة يسوده الخير وتسوده كل الصفات الحميدة التي ينبغي أن تكون في الأشخاص، خاصة أن الأخلاق تنتقل بالعدوى ويتعلم الناس من بعضهم بعضًا الكثير من الأخلاق المكتسبة مثل: الصدق والأمانة والوفاء. وفي الوقت نفسه يتأثر الناس بالصفات والأخلاق السيئة وقد يقلدونها حتى تصبح من الطباع الملتصقة بهم مثل: السرقة والخيانة والكذب والقذف والشتم، لهذا يتم إصلاح المجتمع ونشر الأخلاق الفاضلة فيه بإصلاح الفرد أولًا وتنمية مكارم الأخلاق في نفسه حتى ينشرها ويؤثر بالمجتمع.

The essence of ethics is to embody virtuous morals prevailing in society, learned collectively as a good tradition. A community abundant with individuals of virtuous morals thrives in goodness, characterized by noble qualities essential in individuals. Ethics, contagious in nature, are acquired from one another, such as honesty, trustworthiness, and loyalty. Simultaneously, people are influenced by negative traits and unethical behaviors, which may be adopted and ingrained, like theft, betrayal, lies, defamation, and verbal abuse. Therefore, repairing society and promoting virtuous ethics begins with individual reform and personal development of moral excellence, thereby spreading and positively impacting the community.
