I completed the project in three stages as outlined below:
I: Developed code to request data from Instagram's API, extract the data, and mine captions and text.
II: Developed code to analyze the raw data obtained in the previous stage and convert it into useful information.
III: Utilized Streamlit to present the information in a user-friendly website format, allowing the marketing team to easily interpret the analysis and convert the information into actionable knowledge.
This project aimed to extract posts from the Instagram pages of over 31 retail stores. It ranks these pages based on various criteria such as likes, followers, and engagement. Additionally, it identifies popular posts and analyzes their captions and text using text mining techniques and packages. The project also extracts popular hashtags and emojis.
Furthermore, it provides information about the optimal times for posting. This information is useful for creating social media marketing plans, action plans, benchmarking, and evaluating performance for retail stores.
It took me three months to complete.
