# Semesteer is an LMS system for schools to manage their students data.

- Enhanced the efficiency of the most resource-intensive functionality by optimizing database requests, reducing the average from 67,000 requests to a constant 7, resulting in a remarkable 10X increase in processing speed.

- Implemented Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles to refactor the entire project, comprising the creation of over 1,700 tests and 3,000 assertions for comprehensive code coverage.

- Transformed all HTTP responses into REST-API responses, incorporating automated API tests with the utilization of the Sanctum library for seamless authentication.

- Enhanced the readability and scalability by refactoring the whole project, following design patterns like DISK, and adhering to Laravel and PHP conventions. Ensured optimal code organization by maintaining an average class size of 60 lines.
