Airline Delays Project

As the final project of the course, I dived into a detailed analysis of airline delays. This hands-on project was a culmination of my Power BI learning experience.

Key Highlights:

Dimensional Modeling: Crafted a robust star schema focusing on dimensions like DimDest, DimOrigin, DimCancellation, DimCarrier, and DimDate.

Data Integration: Integrated worldwide airports' data, translated cryptic cancellation codes, and mapped IATA codes for enhanced clarity.

Visualization Techniques: Leveraged DAX to create a dynamic Measures' Table for tracking key metrics. Implemented advanced visualization features like tooltips, drill-through, Q&A charts, synced slicers, and an interactive dashboard with bookmarks and buttons.

Exploration and Insight:

The project fostered a comprehensive understanding of airline delays through interactive reporting and natural language queries. Strategic filters refined the data, allowing a focused analysis of relevant insights.
