Organization/sector: Social Care

Challenge: Stakeholders within the organization were not clear on their roles and responsibilities.

Solution developed and implemented: Creating the Financial Policies and procedures Manual that complies with national laws and regulations. For this purpose, meetings were held with managerial and operational departments to identify the organizational needs and beneficiaries.

The manual included:

•Accounting policies.

•Cost centers.

•Roles and responsibilities.

•Budgeting procedures.

•Procurement’s procedures

•Banks and cash transactions.

•Revenue and expenses recognition.

•Internal and external auditing.

•Payrolls accounts.

•Inventory procedures.

•Fixed assets procedures and inventory.

•Monitoring procedures.

•Financial reports.

My assigned role also included the communication of this manual to all stakeholders including employees, management, and beneficiaries so they are clear on their roles and responsibilities.
