Challenge: The financial system within the company was manual causing delayed information transfer and unclear financial reports which adversely impacted the decisions made within the organization.
Solution developed and implemented: I have developed an automated financial system using an accounting software (Asseal program), which involved designing the financial chart according tocost center for the departments. The approach followed involved meetings with top level management of the following departments:
· Car denting and painting department.
· Car electrical maintenance.
· Car mechanics maintenance.
· Car washing department.
· Inventory department.
A form was also created to document any car entries (car type, plate number…etc._ and the service provided, which fed into the automated financial system.
Results: The automated financial system resulted in easier to manage inventories and clear financial reports allowing the top management to trace any deficiencies in the departments or misuse of the material. This has ensured that:
· The selling price is profitable for every single service provided.
· The services provided are accurately tracked and documented as the accounting department can easily access this information on the automated financial system.
· All provided services are monitored to meet the set performance standards.
