Film Industry Analysis Dashboard (Power BI)

I utilized Power Query to clean and prepare the data, ensuring its integrity and reliability. I then constructed a powerful star schema for optimal performance and analysis. By leveraging the capabilities of Power BI, including tooltips, drill-through, bookmarks, and more, I was able to create an immersive and interactive experience for exploring the data.

One of the main objectives of this project was to investigate the relationship between box office revenues and various factors, such as actors' popularity, genre preferences, and the popularity of production companies over the years from the beginning of the film industry in 1929 to 2020. By employing advanced analytical techniques and measures using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), I was able to extract valuable insights and answer intriguing questions about the film industry.

Some of the key findings from my analysis include:

• Identifying the correlation between box office revenues and actors' popularity, revealing the impact of star power on movie success.

• Uncovering the most popular genres based on audience preferences, shedding light on the evolving taste of moviegoers.

• Examining the popularity of production companies and their influence on a movie's performance, highlighting the significance of partnerships and branding.
