Restaurant order taker

The Restaurant Order Taker App is a software application designed for restaurant waiters to manage restaurant sections and tables, assign orders to tables, add items to tables, print preparation orders to different sections, split orders' checks, transfer order items to different tables, and view order history. The app also supports LAN printing for check and order preparation.

3.1 Login

The app should require waiters to log in before using the app. The app should authenticate users and restrict access to authorized users only.

3.2 Manage Orders

Waiters should be able to manage orders for each table. The app should allow waiters to add items to tables, edit item, delete item. Waiters should also be able to write special instructions for each item added to the table, as needed. Waiters should be able to view and edit these special instructions for each item.

When the waiter adds an item to the table with special instructions, the app should automatically add the special instructions to the preparation order print for the relevant section of the kitchen. Waiters should be able to choose which items to print with the special instructions and which section of the kitchen to send the orders.

3.3 Print Preparation Orders

The app should allow waiters to print preparation orders to different sections of the kitchen. Printing all the items included in order to different kitchen sections at the same time.

3.4 Order History

The app should maintain a history of orders. Waiters should be able to view order history, edit orders, delete orders, and print order checks.

3.5 Spit order check

Waiters should be able to split the order’s check to multiple checks by selecting which items to include in each check and the quantity of each item of them.

3.5 Transfer order items to different tables

Waiters should be able to transfer order items to different tables on different sections, as needed.

By selecting which item to be transferred and the quantity of the item being transferred.

3.6 LAN Printing

The app should support LAN printing for check and order preparation. Waiters should be able to choose which printer to use for printing checks and preparation orders.
