Ramadan is one of the blessed months in the Islamic Hijri calendar, and it is the ninth month of the Hijri year. This month is considered one of the most important months in Islam, where Muslims around the world celebrate its arrival and fast during it from dawn until sunset.

Ramadan begins after sunset on the day before it and ends at sunset on the following day. This month is characterized by supplication and seeking forgiveness, and fasting during it is considered one of the most important acts of worship that Muslims perform.

Islamic cities witness wonderful atmospheres during Ramadan, where streets and public places are decorated with lights and various colors, and families prepare breakfast and pre-dawn meals that Muslims consume before and after fasting.

One of the most important reasons that make Ramadan special is fasting, where Muslims are prohibited during this month from eating, drinking, and having sexual intercourse, expressing their solidarity with the needy and strengthening their relationship with Allah.

Fasting also provides an opportunity for reflection and contemplation in life and worship, and for improving behavior and ethics, as Islam urges attention to the needy, cooperation, and solidarity with others, and these values are among the fundamental values of the Islamic religion.

The Night of Decree, which is one of the blessed nights of Ramadan, is considered one of the most important nights in Islam, where Muslims believe it to be the night in which the Quran was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Muslims seek to take advantage of this blessed night by performing acts of worship and supplication to Allah.
