Dubai Sea House

A never-ending Theatrical performance. Perfect harmony between the transparent sea, wind, clear sky, and the white sand that constructs a once in a life-time experience. Designed specifically to not disrupt this harmony, but to complete it. Be that as it may, it is affected by all elements. The more the masses elevate the more they are pushed in, simulating erosion by the continuous waves. All permeable spaces' orientation is designed to maintain airflow and make it continue throughout the house seamlessly. Visual connectivity to both sea and sky from entry & all spaces mimicking the clear water of the gulf.

Designed mainly on principles of Islamic Architecture. Despite being so rich in its details the house has a minimal design, yet the core principles were applied. The inner court (creates a micro-climate), Mashrabya, Malqaf (Lets in cold air), Arches, and the Shokhshekha (releases hot air), all are applied to increase sustainability, create a micro-climate and utilize forgotten yet so powerful treatments.
