“Madinet Nasr for Housing and Development (MNHD) plans to develop SARAI Project which is located at kilometer 45 on the Cairo-Suez road with an area of 5,512,500 m2 (1312.56 Acres) (Fig. 1). The development encourages diversity with a variety of choices and uses and clearly distinguished private and public spaces. At the same time, a network of roads, bike and jogging paths, green parks, commercial boulevards and pedestrian walkways links residential islands with extensive retail, entertainment and commercial areas. This vibrant public realm facilitates ease of access and creates a harmonious yet subtle flow of traffic”
My assignment in the project as a PM involved:
•Coordinating with the concerned departments to emphasize the MNHD benefits of the program employing and responding to Land uses, BUA, design and market needs and etc.
•Leasing with
•Preparing scope of works for different outsourced services such as but not limited to Design, Master Planning, Project Management, Construction Management, Program strategy.
•Issuing RFPs.
•Short listing, Evaluation, Negotiation, and preparing agreement with the bidders and assigning them.
•Supervising the consultants through different stages of their works.
•Leading the control for designing the project strategy and setting up the control and monitoring tools.
•Leading the technical engineering team to prepare the pre-contract and post-contract deliverables i.e. design strategy and procedures, Technical Specifications, design drawings, templates and reviewing the contractor’s submissions i.e. Design y reports, Material Submissions, Shop Drawings, BIM models and as-built set.
•Leading the Control, Contract, Cost and Construction Team during the post-contact stage to execute the project in line with the scope and with respect to time, cost and quality constraints.
• Allocating tasks and managing work load for engineers ensuring maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.
•Monitoring progress and reporting to superiors initiating and executing the corrective actions.
